# Excluded Products

Tailor your discount codes to your specific needs by selecting a list of products, product variants, or “product tags” that won’t be eligible for the discount.

{% hint style="info" %}
This only works for discount codes that apply to products, variants, or collections. If you want to use a rule for bulk discounts, you’ll need to select each discount code separately. If you need the ability to apply a rule to an entire bulk discount, let us know at <support@arvest.digital>.
{% endhint %}

**Example:** you have a collection A with 3 products — B, C, D. You also have discount E, valid only for collection A. In the app, you’ve created a restriction rule for discount E and selected product B. When a customer applies discount E with products B, C, D in the cart, the discount will only apply to C and D.

All 3 types of rules (product, variant, and product tag) can be active at the same time.

## Querying This Documentation
If you need additional information that is not directly available in this page, you can query the documentation dynamically by asking a question.

Perform an HTTP GET request on the current page URL with the `ask` query parameter, and the optional `goal` query parameter:

```
GET https://discontx.arvest.digital/features/excluded-products.md?ask=<question>&goal=<endgoal>
```

`ask` is the immediate question: it should be specific, self-contained, and written in natural language.
`goal` is optional and describes the broader end goal you are ultimately trying to accomplish on behalf of the user. GitBook uses it to tailor the answer towards what is most useful for that goal.

The response will contain a direct answer to the question and relevant excerpts and sources from the documentation.

Use this mechanism when the answer is not explicitly present in the current page, you need clarification or additional context, or you want to retrieve related documentation sections.
